Take up our free WorkHealth Checks

In business it pays to look after your team. Which is why JTA Risk Management/Noise Management, in partnership with WorkSafe Victoria, is offering your employees FREE WorkHealth checks if your annual remuneration is under $10M. It only takes 20 minutes for your workers to get a snap-shot of the state of their health and help identify risks. Any issues can then be addressed before they develop into health problems or chronic illness.

Health Checks in 3 Simple steps:
1. Completing a short health questionnaire
2. Have the following health indicators measured
- blood cholesterol
- blood pressure
- blood glucose
- waist circumference
3. Receive results, relevant information and advice on the spot. If over 50 workers have a WorkHealth check, employers will receive a summary report. The report will not identify anyone, instead presenting results as a percentage*.

Telling results
In the past six months over 56,000 workers from a broad range of industries have received a WorkHealth check as part of the WorkHealth program and analysis of these checks has revealed:
• 40% had a result indicating a high or very high risk of developing type 2 diabetes and   cardiovascular disease
• 476 Victorian workers identified as being at very high risk and advised to see a GP
  within 24 hours
• 42% had low levels of HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol)
• 26% had a waist measurement indicating a greatly increased risk of Type 2 diabetes
• 74% reported inadequate exercise (less than 30 mins per day)

Privacy Assured
These statistics have been released to illustrate the importance of the WorkHealth program and they do reveal just how many potential risks are lying in wait if not addressed. However you can rest assured that every health assessment is confidential and workers will receive support and access to funded lifestyle programs if required.
